A totally ordinary university student who lives in the Greater Tokyo Area, and the protagonist of the game. He gets to know Mari at university, and accompanies her on a skiing trip. He injures himself trying to keep up with the pro-level Mari despite being a complete beginner himself, and sometimes causes unexpected disasters due to errors in his deduction. However, he also demonstrates that he is a great enough detective to solve even the trickiest of cases if his reasoning is on the mark. In certain situations, though, even this one role of merit he has might be taken over by Mari...?
A female student who attends the same university as Toru, and the niece of Mr. Kobayashi, owner of the pension Spur. She is smart, sporty, and a pro-level skiier. On top of this, she has an incredible figure, and is apparently beautiful enough to be mistaken for a film star by the three OLs. She can be seen playing an active role in the Demon Chapter, in which the secrets of her birth are explored and she is possessed by an evil spirit, and the Spy Chapter, whose highlight is a cool action scene where she drives a snowmobile.
The owner of Spur, the pension that serves as the setting for the game's tragic events, and Mari's uncle. He has loved to cook ever since he was a child, to the point that he quit his job as a salaryman and opened a pension. He often plays important roles, such as that of Mari's boss in the Spy Chapter, and the person who holds the key to a secret in the past in the Demon Chapter.
Kobayashi's wife. Despite being a bad cook, she sometimes serves her own cooking to customers and causes Mr. Kobayashi trouble. In a certain situation, you can see an extreme side of her when her body responds to the word "candle", and she dresses herself up in bondage attire...?
The president of a company in Osaka, who got to know Kobayashi after helping him out at work back when Kobayashi was a salaryman. He is a true upstart, dictatorial president who mostly ignores what others have to say and stubbornly sticks to his opinions. Make sure you listen to the karaoke version of his theme song, which can be heard in one of the scenarios.
Kayama's wife. She is a quiet and classy lady, the polar opposite of her husband. However, sometimes she acts in unexpected ways, such as getting hurt due to her strong sixth sense in the Demon Chapter, and playing a fierce female spy who fires off the biggest gun of all in the Spy Chapter.
A live-in part-timer at Spur, and self-proclaimed "sixth-year" at university. He is 184cm tall, and a sportsman who loves to ski. He appears to be dating Midori, a fellow part-timer at the pension. In some cases, his frank personality may end up being his ruin and causing unexpected situations.
A woman who works as a live-in part-timer at Spur. It seems as though people struggle to ascertain her age, with her sometimes appearing like a high-schooler and sometimes looking like an older woman. In the Crime-Solving Chapter, her naturally sharp instincts guide her to the truth, but... In the Spy Chapter, she transforms into a female spy who fires off a long volley of bullets with her machine gun.
A mysterious man wearing a suit, leather shoes, sunglasses and a trench coat who looks very out of place at a ski resort. Nothing whatsoever is known about him besides his name, including his age and occupation. You will probably see a scene in which you hear his piercing scream echo throughout Spur.
A freelance photographer who specialises in landscape photography. Thanks to his sturdy build and beard, he resembles a man of the mountains. He plays an important role in many of the different stories, and those roles differ greatly between chapters. His transformation in the Case-Solving Chapter and the Demon Chapter is particularly shocking.
Seemingly the most proficient skier out of the group of the three OLs. She is fashionable-looking and flirty. Make sure you check out the way she uses her skills of seduction on the protagonist as a female spy in the Spy Chapter!
A woman who, from her chubby figure, appears less sexy and more hungry. She seems to be quite the glutton, given the way she has five extra helpings of soup at dinner.
She is the smartest of the three, and gives one the impression that she is good at doing her job. In the Spy Chapter, she attacks the protagonist with an ice pick in one hand.
