This is an explanation of how to calculate the damage inflicted and points earned upon photographing a ghost during battle. Damage is determined by spirit power charge and film type used, and depletes the ghost's HP, which is the base. Points are calculated by multiplying damage by 10 - in other words, the higher the damage you deal, the more points you will get. Base damage is determined by the amount of spirit power charged and the film type used, doubled if a Shutter Chance, and also increased if using a power-up lens, which determins your final damage. A power-up lens' effect differs according to what level it is, and whether a normal shot or Shutter Chance was taken. If you want to deal massive damage, equipping Type-Zero film and use a Level 3 power-up lens - "Blast" for a normal shot, "Crush" for a Shutter Chance - is best.
