It is said that an indigenous belief system unique to Hanuda Village has existed there since ancient times. Not much is known about the religion, but it is thought of as being the key to solving the mysteries of Hanuda. According to old records, the religion is called "Manaism", and it is thought that the majority of the villagers are devotees to it. It is said that Manaist scriptures and a song worshipping its god exist, but little is known about them. Scattered across the village are uniquely-shaped wooden monuments, and since it is believed that they are where Manaism originated they are known as Mana crosses.
