Fatal Frame III: Kaname's Letter 9

Miss Reika,

The other day, I met with a researcher to whom I was introduced by one of my fellow students. It is not often that one is afforded the opportunity to speak directly with such a person, so I shall recount our conversation to you.

The man, who called himself Dr. Asou, told me that he is researching the mysterious power contained within the dreams people have.

He would not tell me too much, out of concern that it might interfere were I to become involved with his research in the future, but it appears as though some dreams are forgotten the moment one awakens, whereas others remain in one's memory for a long time. The doctor said that he is conducting a variety of research into the dreams which we remember, particularly the ones that people have over and over, and dreams which possess some sort of special working.

He has requested my cooperation with this research, so I plan on visiting him again before long.

As is common with cutting edge sciences, I am sure that there are some aspects a layman would have difficulty comprehending. Despite this, perhaps I desire some sort of conclusive proof that would explain the life of unexpected intimacy with dreams which I have been leading for some time now.

If I hear anything promising, I will relay it to you, too. Please look forward to it.

Kaname
